Paying tribute to the LBC, Nike works up a special Long Beach edition of their resurrected Big Nike basketball silhouette. The sneakers are given upper combining perforated leather and patent leather with Black/White and Purple highlights and an LBC stamp on the heel.

The new single from Michael Jackson, entitled This Is It,...
... will be released posthumously on October 12th, followed by a 2-disc album of the same name on October 27th. The album release will coincide with the worldwide premiere of the film documenting the King of Pop's preparation for his comeback show - both the film and the show are also called This Is It.
“This song only defines, once again, what the world already knows - that Michael is one of God's greatest gifts,“ said John McClain, co-producer of the album and co-executor of his estate.
The firsc disc will feature the original album masters of Michael's greatest hits arranged in the same order as they appear in the film, ending with two versions of the never-released This Is It. And, of course, the new single features backing vocals by the Jackson brothers.
Disc two offers unreleased versions of his classic tracks, including a spoken word poem from Michael entitled Planet Earth. It also includes a 36-page commemorative booklet with exclusive pictures of his last rehearsal.

Dear Shawn Carter,
First off, congrats on Blueprint 3. Like a lot of people, I heard the leaks online before the album dropped and quite frankly was scared.
I was scared that you were about to drop another Kingdom Come.
Thankfully that wasn’t completely the case, but I’ll be the first to say BP3 isn’t your best album to date (that honour is best reserved for Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint or The Black Album – depending on who you ask) and I say that as a fan (and not a Stan. I think that label is best bestowed upon The Game. That dude is obsessed with you Hova)
Anywhoo, whatever the case maybe BP3 is your 11th No.1 album in a row, an impressive feat that Elvis couldn’t even match let alone any other rapper in your peripheral. Your numbers looked strong too. 476’000 your first week. I guess you were right.

Just a random thought though Hov, sorry to side track, but on your next album can you please not accept any beats from Pharrell. Skateboard P has lost his spark man and hasn’t given you a good beat since the Black Album. I mean, I felt what he was trying to do with “Blue Magic” off the American Gangster LP, which to be fair did bang, but truthfully the boy P is looking like he ain’t hungry no more.
“So Ambitious” just doesn’t move me, not musically, sonically or physically. If it’s any consolation I like the gems you drop on the track though. (And I say that as a fan and not a hater. I’ll leave that to Jim Jones and your old running partner Jaz-O. Those two guys really don’t like you. I guess its just dirt off you shoulder anyway huh?)
I’m sorry Hov, I’m waffling now. The point of this little note was just to say well done.

I know he’s bored with rap an all but don’t let him go the same way as P. “Off That”. “Reminder” and “Venus Vs Mars” are good but not great. The Jay-Z/Coldplay tour hit up Wembley Stadium in London this weekend, and the rapper ambushed his friend with a hug while Martin was playing the piano!
The two apparently rolled around on the stage floor for some time before Jay-Z let Martin continue with the show.

A new colorway of the well received Nike Auto Force 180 has been released. The sneaker comes with a black leather, black mesh and patterned upper. Accents are set in red on the Swoosh, logo placements and around the mid-sole.

Kanye West and Nike Auction Shoes for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital[SNEAKER]
After grabbin’ the mic and offending everyone last Sunday night, Kanye West has had a hell of a week in the aftermath of the MTV Video Music Awards. And yet, Nike is auctioning off two one-of-a-kind pairs of his signature Air Yeezy, with all of the proceeds benefiting the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon.
One pair features a black leather upper and Jordan VI bottom, the first and only time the shoe will be made available with a Jumpman logo, and the other pair is THE Air Yeezy that Kanye worn on The 50th Annual Grammy Awards. The exact same one. Especially the packaging is impressive on both pairs.
