DRAKE’S OPEN LETTER TO AALIYAH.
One of the best tracks from Drake’s debut album Thank Me Later was his track with Young Jeezy, Unforgettable which featured an Aaliyah sample. On the anniversary of her death, Rap Radar reached out to Drake and the result was this letter he penned to Aaliyah..
Dear Dana,
I’ve never lost a parent, a friend, or a lover but I will never forget this day for the rest of my life. I remember getting the news that you had passed and it connected with my heart like a clean shot from Muhammad Ali. I was crushed. Not only was I one of your biggest fans but I was truly in love with you. I loved the way you carried yourself, the way you dressed, the confidence with which you addressed passion and relationships in your music. I said to myself that even if we never met, I wanted a woman in my life just like you. I am pained that we will never get to connect now that music ended up being my career path. But you should know, we all listen to you everyday and we remain inspired and moved by all that you’ve given the world. I hope I make the right life choices so I can end up in heaven where I know you rest your head. I’ll continue to make music in your honor until the day we finally meet. Dinner’s on me!

Cop Calls 911 & Gets Severely Beaten & Pepper Sprayed By Other Cops [Pics]
"To get my butt beat like that was unnecessary," said the six-year veteran assigned to the 110th Precinct. "We called the police, and this is what happened to me."
"I'm shocked, angry and disappointed," said the 6-foot-3, 300-pound Jackson.
His hand in a cast, he met with the Daily News on Wednesday and lifted his shirt to show the scars from Sunday's early morning confrontation. Jackson, who is black, said the excessive force by the cops, who were white, might have been racially motivated.
"They didn't treat me like a house-owner calling for help," he said. "Everyone who lives in the 113th Precinct is not a perp."
Investigators from IAB took a DNA sample from Jackson on Wednesday and told his lawyer, Eric Sanders, it was for testing against the cops' batons, which have been confiscated.
Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Jackson "was injured as a result of a dispute at the party." A spokeswoman did not return a call for further comment.
Jackson's wife, Charlene, made a 911 call around 1:15 a.m. Sunday as her unarmed husband faced down thugs armed with a gun and bats who showed up as partygoers started leaving his home in Rochdale.
"I told the 911 operator it's my daughter's 21st birthday and my husband is a police officer and there's a young man with a gun," she said.
"Who do we call now?" said Charlene Jackson, a city bus driver. "It's very hurtful to know you can't trust the police officers in your neighborhood. I feel like the 113th Precinct is our enemy."
Larry Jackson, wearing an apron with the slogan, "I'm the chef and I'm awesome," said he did not identify himself to the street thugs as a cop - but was able to convince them to leave.
They were slinking off when the first patrol car from the 113th Precinct roared up and a sergeant got out. Charlene Jackson said she tried to tell the sergeant what happened when her niece yelled from the house that there was a fight inside.
The sergeant's driver ran inside and struck a friend of the family with his baton, the Jacksons said.
The sergeant then pushed Larry Jackson with his baton, they said, and when Jackson grabbed the sergeant, another cop began choking him from behind.
Jackson was knocked down and fell on his 82-year-old mother-in-law who briefly lost consciousness, he said.
"I'm covering my face and getting hit everywhere," he said. "Then somebody pepper sprayed me."
The couple said cops hit at least six family members and friends with batons. Their stepson, a cousin and a nephew were charged with disorderly conduct. Larry Jackson's gun and badge were taken and he was placed on modified duty.
"What's most disturbing is there were supervisors on the scene who did nothing," said lawyer Sanders.

Jay-Z Says He Would've Robbed Close Friend Chris Martin Had They Met When He Was A Teen!!
Jay-Z reckons he would have robbed Coldplay's Chris Martin if they'd met when he was 16.
Lucky they didn't because they now enjoy one of the tightest bonds in showbiz... and Chris may just have inspired the richest man in rap to have kids with Beyonce.
In an extraordinary interview Jay-Z, 40, raps lyrical about best pal Chris, who he considers family.
They certainly make an odd couple - after all, their upbringings were wildly different.
Jay, born Shawn Carter, was already dealing drugs on the streets of Marcy, New York, by the tender age of 13. Around that time, Chris would have been tucked up in his cosy dormitory at Sherborne boys' school in Dorset.
Asked what he would have thought of Chris at 16, Jay said: "That's a different scenario. He couldn't walk through Marcy. I was a different person then. I wasn't open to the world and to cultures.
"I would have been, 'Yo! Who are you? Give me your money.' You couldn't have a guy like Chris walking through Marcy. He'd have to get robbed. At best."
Of course, it's an altogether different story these days.
Jay-Z is a global megastar, the richest man in rap who has enjoyed mammoth hits including Empire State of Mind and a controversial headlining slot at Glastonbury.
Their two children, Apple and Moses, affectionately call the rapper Uncle Jay and he gushed: "They are a really cool family with beautiful kids, who happen to be good at the jobs they do."
Asked if he wanted something similar himself, Jay-Z replied: "Kids? Of course."
Perhaps they'll consider a move to Devon, because Jay-Z has fallen in love with the place after he met Matt Bellamy from Muse at the Coachella festival earlier this year.
Jay said: "That man is a superstar. I told him he was awesome. All the good s*** comes from Devon. Isn't that where Coldplay are from?" Yep, and the cider's not bad either. However, there's one thing about Blighty that Jay doesn't like.
Former Oasis star Noel Gallagher famously blasted him for playing at Glastonbury in 2008, claiming that hip-hop was wrong for the festival.
And Jay told Q magazine out on August 26: "I thought it was a bit music-racist. An old way of thinking.
"Everyone trying to do something new is going to come up against a Noel Gallagher figure in their life."

Timbaland Gets Robbed for $2 Million Worth of Jewelery... Police Detain him after Fear of Suicide Attempt
Timbaland was the subject of a manhunt yesterday after his family believed he was so distraught over the theft of a $2 million piece of jewelry he might harm himself ... this according to law enforcement sources.
According to sources, the L.A. County Sheriff's Department put out a "possible suicide attempt" APB just before 5 PM PT yesterday. A helicopter and squad cars went on the hunt for the rapper/producer's Escalade.
Here's what we're told happened ... Timbaland was on the phone earlier in the day with his brother-in-law ... deeply upset about something. We're told one of the things that was eating at him was a theft at his Malibu residence a day before. Someone had stolen a crazy expensive Jacob & Co. watch -- valued at $2 million -- and Timbaland suspected it might have been someone he trusted.
Timbaland left his home yesterday and began driving. Family members couldn't locate him, became extremely worried and called the Sheriff's Department.
We're told the helicopter located the Escalade, ground crews pulled Timbaland over and began talking to him. At some point they put Timbaland in a patrol car and took him to his residence, where they continued speaking with him and family members.
Deputies called for paramedics to come and evaluate Timbaland. After the evaluation, paramedics determined Timbaland was not a threat to himself and left.
We're told the Sheriff's Department is investigating the theft of Timbaland's jewelry and they have possible suspects.

Veyron SS is the production version of the vehicle that set a record in June 2010 at Volkswagen’s Ehra-Lessein test track while getting 267.91mph on the speedometer. The only change to the previous details of the record setting version, however, will include its speed capped at 415km/h to help protect the tires.
The current model comes out after Bugatti’s continuous development of the classic 987bhp Veyron”, which was first launched in 2005. Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport churns out mammoth 1,184-hp and 1,106 Nm of torque, which is 200 hp and 250 Nm more than its standard version, achieved by using four enlarged turbochargers on the 8.0 liter, 16-cylinder engine along with larger intercoolers.
